What is the We Care Fund?

As a school, we believe in being a force for good within our wider community through our #RGSWeCare initiative. Following on from the success of the Changing Lives Campaign and Nightingale Fund, we are establishing a We Care Fund to be immediately available students who have been disadvantaged through tragic and unforeseen circumstances. Devastation can strike anyone at anytime, as the last few years have shown. We want to be able to provide support without delay and alleviate some of the suffering, by giving hope for a brighter future.

Why are we doing it?

After the success of raising over £200,000 from our previous Giving Days, we have set ourselves an ambitious target of raising £100,000 from 500 donors, over this 36-hour period, to support the We Care Bursary Fund.

Why get involved?

The work of the Foundation is all about social mobility for ALL students. We do this through our enrichment programmes by supporting students at RGS and for their journey beyond, so they can forge the careers and lifestyles they want. The other half of our work is to improve access to a world class education for disadvantaged children through our bursary schemes. The Foundation's overall aim is to be help students to meet their aspirations, understand their privilege and pay it forward, creating a fairer society. You have the opportunity to support our important work, wherever you are in the world, whatever your connection to RGS. If it is £10, £100 or £1000… each gift will make an impact to the lives of some brilliant children and we really are grateful for your support.

What are challenges?

We have the support of some generous Reigatians who will donate a series of ‘challenge gifts’ once specific targets have been reached. You have the power to unlock these gifts through your kind donations.
